Global market research also reveals that over 80% of travelers support sustainable tourism, and more than three-quarters expect providers to offer more eco-conscious travel options.

We also prioritize hiring local residents for key initiatives such as the Amis Folk Center and cleaning services projects, supporting community employment.

Tribal Multilingual Guided Tours and Cultural Tour Development

We work with local communities to curate authentic indigenous cultural content and everyday wisdom, developing interpretive scripts for guided tours. Through a collaborative guide evaluation system, we ensure cultural integrity and professionalism. We also support local communities in enhancing their hospitality skills and English-language services. At our visitor centers, we've introduced multilingual support, including Amis language, to enhance our international readiness.

In promoting indigenous culture, we collaborate with the Torik Tribe's Amis Kakeng music troupe, hosting music and dance performances at the Amis Folk Center. We've also established a dedicated cultural tourism section and launched the " Yilie! Travel in Sea-style!" brand to deepen tribal tourism. We supported the formation of the Travel in Sea-Style Alliance Taskforce, a tribal-led initiative for organized community tourism development. Through sustainability capacity-building programs and collaborative resource management, we foster participatory planning to co-create a long-term vision for sustainability. We also established the "East of Taiwan" Tourism Circle — a platform to promote local products and services across the region.

Empowerment of Residents and Businesses

We conduct training programs for local communities focused on indigenous tourism, sustainable travel, and destination stewardship. This includes training tour leaders and eco-guides for the "Mahengheng to Chenggong 168" cycling brand and ecological monitoring. In addition, we support local tourism operators in applying for eco-certifications and co-market sustainable tourism experiences.

Waste Management

To reduce waste generation, we enforce strict recycling and waste sorting practices. At all events, we minimize packaging and encourage the use of natural materials to lower per capita waste output.

Tourism Safety Management

Safety is our top priority. We conduct emergency response drills prior to large-scale events. Immediately close specific water areas during poor weather conditions to protect tourist safety. Apply for AED Safe Place Certification. Install signage and warning notices to remind visitors of activity safety. Implement traffic control measures during long weekends.

Travel Safety Education and Training

We provide training for frontline first aid and AED management personnel, and conduct training for Class-C Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) instructors, snorkeling instructors, and lifeguards to ensure water activity safety.
